URC Mersey Synod Job Vacancy: Grant (Bid) Finder and Writer/Office Admin Support (part time)

Are you interested in working for a charity as part of a small and friendly team?  Your main role will be to write funding applications and bids for church projects and assist churches in their applications, from external funders.  In the Synod Office you will cover the Reception Area and provide general office administrative support to the Staff Team, the Synod committees and local churches.

You will be working in the small Synod Office in Wavertree which will involve some evening and weekend work. 

The job will require someone who enjoys working in a very flexible manner, tackling a wide and varied range of tasks and working to deadlines. It is desirable that you have some experience of applying for grants and writing bids.

As well as excellent office skills you will need to be competent using MSOffice 365 (email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Databases, Outlook and PowerPoint). Discretion and confidentiality will also be essential, as will an awareness of and willingness to work within the Christian ethos of the United Reformed Church. 

 The requirement is for someone to work 15 hours a week from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.  The initial salary will be £12,090 (actual) pa.

Interviews will be held on Monday 28th October 2024 with a view to starting as soon as possible.
