Equipping Churches - Nurturing Faith

Supporting our churches across the region

Synod Meeting: Saturday 14 March 2026 9.30 am (for 10 am start) to 4pm at St. John’s URC, Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, WA4 6QE

We invite you to the next meeting of our Mersey Synod. We shall gather as leaders of the churches so that under the guidance of the Holy Spirit we may discern the mind of Christ for the future and to give thanks for work that has been completed since we last met.

The theme of this Synod meeting remains as last year, “Living Faith: Our Journey Continues”.

During our meeting we will take some time to focus on the exciting possibilities that the Church Life Review offers us with the aim of inspiring ideas as to how this can support local churches towards growth, enabling us all to deliver our mission within our respective communities.

We hope this will inspire us all to generate ideas for possible grant funding applications for the appointment of local church lay workers and to start exploring ideas for establishing new communities of discipleship and worship.

Anyone can attend the Synod meeting, although only members and designated church representatives can vote on resolutions. Booking to attend the Synod meeting is essential

The Agenda and papers are published in the Book of Reports. Read the Book of Reports here
