Revd Dawn Mather presented with a 'Book of Memories'.

Revd Dawn Mather’s retirement from her post at the Isle of Man was marked by a special service at St Andrew's URC Douglas led by Revd Geoff Felton, Moderator of the Mersey Synod.

At the end of the service Dawn was presented with a 'Book of Memories'.  This collected together over 80 photographs taken during Dawn's ministry on the island.

Dawn and Geoff also took part in an interview on Manx Radio, where Dawn reflected on her time with the United Reformed Church Mersey Synod.

AT YOUR SERVICE - 3 SEPTEMBER 2023 - At Your Service - Manx Radio

Dawn told Manx Radio:

“I always felt so at home with the URC. I was able to express myself as a minister and the URC has a wonderful love for the word of God and this energised my ministry throughout.”

Revd Geoff Felton commented:

“Having served for over ten years, Revd Dawn Mather has retired from a fruitful and effective ministry on the Isle of Man with the United Reformed Church.

“The two churches she led now go into an interregnum with an upbeat sense of expectation about what God has planned for them next.

“Dawn will be missed greatly but she also recognises that God has not finished with her yet.”
