Worship Development Coordinator role for West Kirby’s Emma Jackson

West Kirby URC member Emma Jackson has been appointed as Worship Development Coordinator. Emma has made a real impact at the church for a long time, using her God-given skills and talents as a musician and dancer both in Sunday worship and in holiday clubs and children's clubs. She also received a Lundie Memorial Award in 2020.

Emma’s role as Worship Development Coordinator will include; leading the congregation in musical worship, in Spirit and in truth; ensuring the smooth running of the musical worship in the church; developing the musical worship and the musicians/AV team and being innovative and creative when looking at worship in the broader term.

Revd Geoff Felton, Moderator of Mersey Synod said: “Mersey Synod are delighted to support the appointment of Emma Jackson as the new Worship Development Co-Ordinator at West Kirby URC. Emma brings a wealth of talent and experience to this key role. She has heart for seeing others trained and equipped to lead others in contemporary and engaging worship. We pray the new role will enable West Kirby URC to grow and develop as it seeks to build the Kingdom of God in Mersey Synod.”

Emma Jackson, Worship Development Coordinator commented: “The purpose of my role is to promote and develop the Church’s musical and broader worship and encourage and enable others to this end. I am delighted to be able to use the gifts God has given me to love and serve His church, and share His good news with our local community.”
