Synod Mission Fund brings more people into St Andrew's URC Meols

St Andrew's URC Meols has made use of the Synod Mission Fund to host successful events bringing more people into the church.

The Film Club used a small grant of £2,000 to bring in blinds and buy a projector and stand. The Christmas Jumper Carol Service used a small grant of £125 for advertising and refreshments.

Minister Revd Mark Bates commented: “Both of these events were a success and the Film Club continues to grow. We held our latest showing on 14th January and we attracted some new people who came to join us in fellowship. They were astonished that the whole event including refreshments were free for people to access and have stated their intention to bring new friends with them.

“Our Christmas Jumper Carol Service saw over 90 adults and children present despite the weather. We were able to share the Christmas message with members of our local community. We will be looking to build on the success of this event during the coming year.”
