Enock Bhambal talks about becoming a member of the Uniting Church in Garden Lane.

“I’ve been worshipping with Uniting Church in Garden Lane since I arrived in Chester to study for a Masters Degree in Business Management. Already a baptised Christian, I came here from South India where my family too, are practising Christians. My father is the secretary of our church. My first bedsit as a student was just across the way from the Garden Lane. I followed Trustee and Secretary, Alan Johnson, into the church one Sunday morning and said to him, ‘I was sitting in my window waiting for someone to arrive and open the church door.’ We soon became good friends and I felt welcome from the outset. I was received into official membership of the church by the Minister, Reverend Ceri Gardner, at morning worship on Sunday 9th July 2023.”
