Baptism brings community together at Uniting Church in Garden Lane
The first baptism at Uniting Church in Garden Lane for more than ten years took place during Morning Worship led by the Minister Reverend Ceri Gardner on Sunday 11th August. Edward (Teddy) Austin Hoult was baptised by Revd Ceri Gardner in a service attended by friends and family along with members of the regular worshiping congregation at Garden Lane. Hymns included "Sing hosanna" specially chosen by parents Elysia and James Hoult.
Alan Johnson, Trustee and Secretary at Uniting Church in Garden Lane said: “Teddy was first brought to a church service at Garden Lane last summer when he was just three weeks old, and the church family has watched Teddy grow week by week since then. Members of the church were also invited to Teddy's 1st Birthday. There’s a real sense of church community and growth.”
James Hoult said: “We had a lovely day and it's thanks to the church family. We chose Garden Lane because it was our local church and it aligned with our faith. We were made so welcome, and it has been the perfect church to grow our faith and become part of both the church family and our local community. We are so grateful to you all and can't wait to grow with you!”
